Headed to Cape Cod this weekend to see a dear friend get married, so I thought I would post an Historic American Buildings Survey photo of a Cape Cod style house. One of the early colonial styles of architecture in this country, this type of house was prevalent in many coastal New England towns. This photo, taken in 1934, is of the Captain Solomon Howes House in Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Not sure whether this house is still standing, perhaps I will go and find out …
More pictures from the Cape on Monday, enjoy your weekend!
