Rub a dub dub, I found my favorite tub! Catchpole & Rye manufactures these cast iron tubs in Kent, England, using the same methods and materials they have been using for the past 100 years. This is the Le Bain de Bateau model, and it comes in a variety of colors including this absolutely fabulous blue. No wonder I like this tub …
These last three tubs are made of nickel, copper, and brass, respectively. There is something so luxurious and yet so simple about soaking in a metal tub. Each of these metal tubs is coated so that it maintains the applied nickel, copper, and brass finish so you don’t have to worry about polishing. I would feel like a queen in this tub. You might have to be the queen to have this tub, as they start around 4,000£. But hey, a girl can dream, right? Happy Valentine’s Day.

I’m sure many of the blogs that you read are featuring NYFW related posts as well. A favorite Lacquered Life destination for moderately priced accent rugs. Perfect over a standard seagrass and under a coffee table. Like a chic handbag or a great pair of shoes, these little rugs provide a bit of oomph to your room. And most of the smaller rugs are under $100 and come in a variety of colors. A Sense of Permanence

When I had my apartment in Philadelphia during graduate school, or my apartments with and without W in NYC, I was always jealous of papered walls. I would walk into houses or apartments that people owned and proclaim that they were “real people,” because there was something so permanent and settled about wallpaper. Well, thanks to CB2, you can now have that wonderful feeling of permanence in a place that you rent. Self adhesive wallpaper – you stick it up yourself, and the self adhesive backing allows you to remove it when your lease is up. Genius. And these patterns are pretty great too … And as you know, wallpaper can be fabulous in places other than the walls … lining drawers, the back of bookshelves, wallpapering a table, making a lampshade … the possibilities are endless!
