Green With Envy

Green SmokeHave you ever been in a color phase? A phase where your eye seems drawn to a certain color way all the time? I’m currently in a green phase. Now don’t get me wrong, I am a blue person, but I am really loving green these days. Although not in clothes, never in clothes. As a person with olive colored skin I really just can’t wear green. With paint colors however, I am surrounding myself with green. So today, here are a few of my absolute favorite green paints. Tried and tested. Always remember, paint colors on computer screens do not necessarily look like paint colors on swatches, and paint colors on swatches do not always look like paint colors on walls. Always buy sample pots and test your colors! Screen Shot 2014-07-18 at 3.09.26 PMFarrow & Ball Green Smoke (as seen on trim above)Screen Shot 2014-07-18 at 3.02.40 PMBenjamin Moore Aganthus GreenScreen Shot 2014-07-18 at 3.02.51 PMBenjamin Moore Louisburg GreenScreen Shot 2014-07-18 at 3.03.03 PMBenjamin Moore Colony GreenScreen Shot 2014-07-18 at 3.06.14 PMFarrow & Ball Lichen

Painting the Sky

IMG_5328While I was in Nantucket this weekend, I captured the most brilliant sunset on my iPhone. So today I thought I would recreate the sky with Benjamin Moore Paint Colors. It is important to note that not all colors look the same on screen as they do on the swatch, and furthermore not all colors look the same on the swatch as they will on your walls! A big congratulations to Barrett & Sean whose wedding I attended this weekend – what a backdrop for a wonderful evening.Screen Shot 2014-06-30 at 10.43.10 AMBrilliant Blue 2065-30
