Matthew Williamson, famed British fashion designer, has partnered with Osborne & Little to produce a line of fabrics and wallpapers … and I’m excited. His collection, appropriately titled “Eden”, is filled with bold patterns inspired by fabrics in his fashion archives and his travels.
From the top is the Celestial Dragon wallpaper, followed by the Tyger Tyger wallpaper, and finally the Imperial Trellis wallpaper. I love the use of dragons and tigers in his prints, and obviously I am in a “tiger” mood as I finish up the decorating in my Kipling inspired living room. I would love to see these tigers in a library or a powder room. Sexy.
Here I think are my two favorites, Empress (top) and Sunbird (bottom). Sunbird reminds me of some of my favorite palm frond wallpapers, with the addition of birds. Empress is so chic with its gray background and little pops of color with the coral and turquoise. I could see this in a beautiful bedroom with windows looking out to a beautiful view – perhaps some Moroccan inspired furnishings. My own personal Eden. His first collection includes seven fabrics and eight wallpapers, and he is already working on his second collection. For more information visit osborneandlittle.com
