Last week I posted about Katrine Martensen-Larsen and her Danish beach house. After receiving a lovely comment on the post from Martensen-Larsen, I headed over to her blog, where I discovered something magical. During the summer, the family’s beach house is constantly overflowing with people, and when the overflow becomes too much for the cottage to handle, Martensen-Larsen puts her guests up in this chic round tent. This year she has decorated it in an African Safari style, complete with sisal rugs, leather luggage, and tribal art and textiles. These photos sure make me want to go camping. In an extremely safari-chic way of course. Katrine, are you looking for any more guests?

It seems Serena & Lily really has outdoor entertaining down to a science. A quick trip over to the Serena & Lily website and you find yourself happily immersed in an array of products that would make you this summer’s hostess with the mostest. Coolest product of all? – the Riviera Bar Console seen above. Under that beautiful teak top? Two water tight compartments to hold ice for all the amazing cocktails you are going to make while standing behind this sexy rattan bar. Southside anyone?

What is Your Lifestyle Palette?

Ralph Lauren Paint defines its collections as “Lifestyle Palettes,” with names such as “Iconic Brights,” “Thoroughbred,” & “Modern Naturals.” One of my favorites is not surprisingly “Harbor Blues.” Looking back on some recent Instagram photos, it seems that “Harbor Blues” might indeed be my lifestyle palette.Living in Charleston, it is hard to get away from the “Harbor Blues,” whether it is my dining room, the beach at Sullivans’ Island, or the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. However, I have definitely added to my blue lifestyle with our very special trips to Jamaica and Croatia in the last couple months.
I even like the names of the Ralph Lauren Paints. Above are a few of my favorite colors from the collection, from left to right: Gustavian Blue, Reservoir Blue, and Carriage Blue. So what is your lifestyle palette?
