Tory Tales

tb 4It’s official. Tory Burch has launched a line of tabletop accessories. Tory’s personal table settings have long been some of my favorites on Pinterest, as I am sure they have for many of you, so it is no surprise that the fashion guru has now branched out into lifestyle with her new line of table wear. Surprise surprise it is all blue and white. It seems that her linens are taking cues from D. Porthault, and her china is taking cues from traditional tin picnic plates. The patterns of the linens and the china while seemingly mismatched, go extremely well together in the shots from her website. Oh and while the tabletop collection is new, shipping is free. Bravo Tory. Shop the collection below.

Caught Up in the Ceiling

New Old 2Country Living Magazine’s 2014 House of the Year is being referred to as the “New Old House” and is located in Rhinebeck, NY. The interiors were decorated by the duo from Tilton Fenwick, and I am completely in love with their design in the living room. The pink shiplap ceiling in Benjamin Moore’s Coral Buff is heavenly, and you can see in the photo above that it reflects onto the Acadia White walls creating a warm pink glow.
New OldPainting the ceiling a bold color like Benjamin Moore Coral Buff and leaving the walls white  (Benjamin Moore Acadia White) is a great way to have major impact with color in a room. While the bold color doesn’t surround everything in the room as it would on the walls, it acts as a great accent piece … not to mention a conversation piece. I think Michelangelo was on to something with the Sistene Chapel – don’t you? Happy Friday!

Guests on Safari

ROSEMUNDELast week I posted about Katrine Martensen-Larsen and her Danish beach house. After receiving a lovely comment on the post from Martensen-Larsen, I headed over to her blog, where I discovered something magical. During the summer, the family’s beach house is constantly overflowing with people, and when the overflow becomes too much for the cottage to handle, Martensen-Larsen puts her guests up in this chic round tent. This year she has decorated it in an African Safari style, complete with sisal rugs, leather luggage, and tribal art and textiles. These photos sure make me want to go camping. In an extremely safari-chic way of course. Katrine, are you looking for any more guests? ROSEMUNDEROSEMUNDE
