Sunny Stool – $103.20

Just received my Wisteria catalog in the mail and they’re running a special on stools and side tables until February 12th. I thought I would highlight a few of my favorite garden stools that are on sale. Garden stools are extremely versatile. They are an accent table, they are a plant stand, and they are additional seating. It is a must have piece for any household – big or small.

Chinese Garden Stool – $103.20

And finally, the Chinese Garden Stool. Carried by Wisteria for a long time, it currently comes in two additional colors, white and lavender, and its ceramic construction makes it a great accent piece both indoors and outdoors. I have recommended this piece to a number of friends looking for a space saving accent table that doesn’t break the bank, and it never disappoints. So head on over to Wisteria to take advantage of this sale before February 12th!

Over the weekend I ventured to Target to pick up some things completely unrelated to home decor or furnishing. However, not surprisingly I landed in the home decor section of Target, where I was completely blown away with what their Threshold line had to offer. I think that the tufted bench above is my favorite, but I have included some others. The prices on some of these items are so good, and the designs are timeless. These are four well priced pieces that you will never tire of. Click on the photo to be redirected to target.com.

Cheap and Chic of the Week: Almsta

Screen Shot 2013-09-11 at 7.16.53 AMIkea. Who doesn’t love Ikea? In Tom Scheerer Decorates, which I reviewed HERE on Friday, Scheerer talks about being a big fan of Ikea from its earliest inception, and that he still uses Ikea products in his schemes even today.  Ikea is a favorite stop of mine as well, whether its buying a raw wood table and lacquering it to use as a desk, or buying rattan chairs and spray coating them so that they will survive outdoors, I’m pretty sure there are at least 6 ikea chairs in operation at my house. But this chair is new.

Screen Shot 2013-09-11 at 7.16.44 AMThe Almsta chair costs $99(!) and would work well almost anywhere in your home. You could keep it its natural raw color, or paint it a scheme to match one in your house – it is extremely malleable. The different surfaces allow for obvious application of varying colors, so there is also an opportunity to paint it like a more traditional bistro chair that you could purchase finished for much more money. I see a DIY project in my future, don’t you?
