Thank You Southern Living!

IMG_2366Good Morning Lacquered Lifers! Southern Living Magazine’s March issue drops today, and guess what? That’s our front door! So thrilled that they decided to use our front door for their first issue of spring, with a feature on the doorways of Charleston. To be totally honest, I may be more excited that Hamish is on the cover of a magazine than I am that my house is on the cover of a magazine. What can I say, I’m a mom who loves her dogs. A big thank you to Southern Living for shooting our door, and for featuring it on the cover. Below, a few more of the Charleston doors in the feature, and the source info for our door. Door 4 Door 2 Door 3 DoorPaint Color // Door Knocker // Mail Slot // Lantern (similar)

  • My copy was delivered yesterday and I immediately recognized your gorgeous home and Hamish! Congrats.

  • Looks gorgeous, congratulations! I’ll be sure to pick up a copy and fantasize about my HOA actually letting me paint my door any of those colors. 🙂

  • AWESOME!!! Love the color of your door! Very similar to our new laundry room cabinetry. 🙂 I officially can’t get enough of this deep blue trend.

  • Such a treat to see this in our mailbox yesterday after a week away! Congratulations! Hamish looks like a natural cover model. I’ve always meant to write and tell you that while wandering the streets of Charleston last winter, we photographed your house as inspiration for repainting our own home someday. A few months later (either through instagram or the complete SL feature, I cannot remember) I realized that the front door we snapped a photo of belonged to you. You have such a beautiful home – thanks for sharing glimpses of it with all of us!

  • I love Southern Living. I was wondering if you can tell me what kind of dog, Hamish is. What breed? thanks

  • Are you sure the door is Gentleman’s Gray and not 2064-20, Royal Blue? Love this look, but bought paint sample for Gentleman’s Gray and not the same color – not even close to the brightness, light shining on it or not. Thank you!

    1. Yes, I’m positive. That is why it is one of my favorite colors, it changes in different light, and when painted on different materials. It is the wall color in my office right now, and is a very deep navy – but was brighter on my door. You should also never judge how colors look on a computer screen, they will always be different in real life!
