Croatia or Bust!

croatiaHello Lacquered Lifers, hope everyone had a good weekend! So wanted to let you all know that Mr. B and I are headed to Croatia on Thursday – and I was hoping for any ideas/recommendations that you all might have! Cannot wait to explore this amazing country. I am spending the next few days re-reading my camera instruction book and giving Hamish lots of kisses. This will be the longest that we have ever been away from the little guy. So I would love some tips from you all whether it is about Croatia specifically, or traveling (I can’t remember the last time I was away for a week!), wardrobe, camera stuff, anything! Can’t wait to hear from you.

  • Oh I’ve been dying to go to Croatia for a few years now, particularly to Plitvice Lakes National Park. I look forward to vacationing vicariously through your blog (pretty please?)

  • So jealous, so I will just give lots of recommendations! First thing, make sure your shoes are good on cobblestones! Wet cobblestones are so hard to walk in (although I met my husband by falling on cobblestones…) I find lately when I travel I live in stretchy pencil skirts because they are comfortable and appropriate for so many different things. Also, Croatian girls do not dress “casual” so keep that in mind if you plan to go out at night and fit in. I try not to bring too many toiletries, but instead buy new things there that we cant get Stateside. Most of all, spend time in cafes, people watching, drinking macchiatos, then wine. Eat lots of sea food (grilled squid is my suggestion), swim every day, and have a fantastic time! XOXO
